My stay at Casa Esmeralda By Katari was quite nice. The location was a bit removed from the historic center, which required some walking, but the neighborhood felt safe. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and I really appreciated the homemade breakfast and the availability of coca tea. However, I found the shower inconvenient, as it tended to spray water everywhere.

The location is a bit off the main tourist strip, which provides a nice quiet atmosphere, but it's still just a 10-minute walk to the Plaza de Armas. The only downside was the lack of an elevator, which meant navigating stairs with my suitcase.
